Tonogo-Hachimangu (shrine) Annual Festival
遠野郷八幡宮 例大祭
Built in 1189, the Tonogo-Hachimangu (shrine) has since gained religious attraction as the guardian of Tonogo. The festival is held every year in the middle of September, and various local acts that are traditional to Tono are performed and dedicated to the dance of God.
