Tono Sakura Festival
遠野さくらまつり
The Tono Sakura Festival is held during the cherry blossom season. The highlight of the festival, “Nanbu clan Tono entrance procession”, is a reproduction of the event in which the Nanubu clan that resided in Hachito Aomori prefecture entered Tono for territorial change, 400 years from now. Enjoy the time slip to 400 years ago, along with the cherry blossoms of Tono.
