Tono Spring Festival
遠野春まつり
The Tono Spring Festival is held during the cherry blossom season. The highlight of the festival is the “Nambu Clan Entry Procession into Tono Castle,” which recreates the events that occurred about 400 years ago when the Nambu Clan, who lived in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, entered Tono Castle to transfer their territory. Enjoy the cherry blossoms of Tono and travel back in time 400 years.
